2006 Golden Crown Gala, "Embracing the Future"

The 2006 Golden Crown Gala “Embracing the Future” held on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at the Hilton San Diego Resort was a huge success. The Gala committee was all “smiles” as the grand total raised was $64,000. All proceeds from the Gala will go toward the orthodontic program soon to be started at the dental center.

Over 230 guests and supporters began the evening by bidding on 80 unique silent auction items while socializing with friends and colleagues. The attendees were treated to a scrumptious dinner while enjoying a video presentation about the CDHA. Mistress of Ceremonies, Kimberly King, introduced the four honorees selected for their contributions to the field of dentistry and in particular to children. A video presentation paid tribute to orthodontists, Dr. Soona Jahina and Dr. Budd Rubin and to hygienists, Kay Stuckhardt and Beverly Hom. Auctioneer Steve Hamann led the guests through a myriad of fabulous live auction items and encouraged attendees to make monetary donations to the “Embrace A Smile” fund. The rest of the evening was spent dancing to the Benny Holman Band and socializing with friends.

The record amount of sponsorship, underwriting, attendees, auction donations and the generosity of the attendees combined to make this the most successful CDHA Gala to date. It is evident that many people believe that “every child deserves a healthy smile”.

2004 Golden Crown Gala a huge success!

The 2004 Golden Crown Gala "Fulfilling the Dream" What an exciting event! The Children’s Dental Health Association held its second gala at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, San Diego on February 29th. The generous underwriting, sponsorship, and auction donations, both silent and live, and the guests who attended the gala all helped CDHA to “Fulfill Our Dream” to make a difference to the health and well-being of underserved children in our community.

30th Annual Day at the Races

Inaugural Golden Crown Gala a huge success!

Thank you to the 250 supporters who joined us in celebrating 50 wonderful years of service to our community! This special evening of memorable entertainment and celebration held. November 8, 2002 in the Hotel del Coronado Grand Ballroom, raised money to help the children of San Diego.
