We offer many ways to contribute to San Diego's local underserved children through CDHA. You have the choice to make either a contribution, memorial or tribute donation. Your generous donation small or large is a significant factor in helping fight dental disease for San Diego's low-income children.

The Leonhardt Endowment for Children's Dental Health

The Board of Directors of Children's Dental Health Association is pleased to announce the establishment of "The Leonhardt Endowment for Children's Dental Health." Shirley Vincent Leonhardt was a founding Director and Board member of the Association since it began in 1952, until her death in 1998. Shirley was active all her adult life in the dental community. She helped pioneer a teaching program for dental assistants at the San Diego Jr. College. Her passion for providing quality dental care for children of low-income families never wavered. The establishment of the Endowment Fund will insure that this program will continue to thrive. All memorial and tribute contributions will be added to the Endowment unless otherwise specified by the donor. A percentage of funds from all of the fundraising activities of the Association will go to the Endowment, the amount to be voted on after each event. With the establishment of this Endowment we are able to request funding from other philanthropic sources. Children's Dental Health Association is very proud of our achievements and rich history.

Ways to Give:

A donation is a general contribution to the CDHA to help us continue our efforts to serve low-income San Diego children.

A memorial is a personal remembrance that honors the life of a friend, relative or colleague with a gift of love and hope.

A tribute provides a meaningful, living gift to a friend, relative or colleague by honoring a special occasion.

When you make a tribute or memorial contribution, the Children’s Dental Health Association of San Diego sends a personalized, handsome note of acknowledgement to the recipient (or the recipient's family).
